Boneless Mutton with Green Peppers
Ingredients
2 Llbs boneless mutton (you can use beef or lamb too)
Two Green peppers cut into small chunks
2 Large onions sliced roughly
2 tsp of red chili flakes (or to taste)
3 large tomatoes sliced
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
2 tbsp each of coarsely crushed cumin and dried coriander seeds
1 tsp each of freshly minced ginger and garlic
Couple of tablespoons of dried Methi (fenugreek)
Half a cup of oil of your choice
Fresh coriander for garnish
Sprinkle of garam masala
Method
Put the meat into a pressure cooker
Add oil, ginger/garlic and cumin coriander mix
Add enough water to cover the meat
Pressure cook for 15 minutes until mutton is tender. (Beef May take slightly longer whereas lamb will only require about 10 minutes).
Once the meat is done, release all the pressure from the cooker.
(There might be still water in the meat, at this point you will have to evaporate the water on high heat).
Add salt, chili flakes
Add the tomatoes at this point
Once the water is dried add the onions, peppers and methi
Cook for about 10 minutes or so.
If you like your onions and peppers to be a little al dente, then don’t cook for more than 5 minutes.
Add fresh coriander and garam masala before serving.
Enjoy with fresh naan!!!
