Chicken Tikka (Dairy Free) By Linda Knight

Made a yoghurt free version of chicken tikka on the BBQ last night, great for those that are dairy free. I adapted it from the Dishoom version. I was really pleased with how it turned it, lovely and moist and very tasty



Cut 750g chicken fillets into chunks


Blitz together

4 garlic cloves

Generous thumb size of ginger

1 large green chilli

2 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp turmeric

1 tsp deggi mirch

Pinch of salt

2tsp sugar

1 tbsp veg oil


Marinade for at least 4 hours, I did it for 8

Put onto skewers and bbq brushing with melted butter until cooked


If you are dairy free don’t use butter to baste..
