Ingredients
2/ tablespoons oil
3 crushed garlic cloves
2 chopped onions
3 chopped potatoes
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoon garam masala powder
1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
2 teaspoon cumin powder
3 tins of chopped tomatoes
Drained
2 / cups of red lentils
4 teaspoon lemon juice
1200 ml chicken stock
600 ml coconut milk
Coriander to garnish
Method
Add oil to a pan and heat
Add the chopped onions cook till brown
Add the spices and cook for a minute
Add the drained tomatoes
Lentils lemon chopped potatoes juice chicken stock and coconut milk cook on high heat for 10 minutes turn heat down and simmer for 40 minutes add salt to taste
Garnish with chopped coriander
