Garlic Chilli Chicken By Chef Ajay Kumar (Scottish Curry Championship Winner)

Garlic chilli chicken or south Indian garlic chilli chicken is a hugely popular chicken curry in British Indian curry restaurants. This garlic chilli chicken recipe is easy to cook. Step by step instructions make it easy for you to cook a delicious restaurant-style chilli chicken curry.


Ingredients (Serves 2-3)


For chicken Marinade


350 g chicken breasts cut into cubes

2 tsp red chilli powder

1 tsp salt

1 tsp garlic chopped

1 tsp vegetable oil


For the sauce


3 tbsp vegetable oil

4 green cardamom

2 black cardamon

2'' cinnamon sticks

2 bay leaves

5 cloves

1 tbsp chopped garlic

2 onions chopped

1 tsp ginger chopped

2 green chillies chopped

4 tomatoes chopped

1 tsp turmeric powder

2 tsp chilli powder

2 tsp coriander powder

2 tsp garam masala powder

2 tsp white vinegar

2 tsp sugar

1 tsp cornflour

1 tbsp fresh coriander chopped

salt as required

warm water as required
