Ingredient’s
1/2 cup cooking oil
3 sliced onions
4-5 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger piece
1 large green chilli
2 tomatoes
1 tsp chilli powder
salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper
1tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 medium chicken
1 tbsp yoghurt
half sliced green and red peppers
quarter tomato and onion
Garam masala - pre made or grind 1tsp whole cumin 1/2 tsp mustard seeds, 1/2 tsp coriander seeds, 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds.
Method
1. Heat cooking oil.
2. Brown onions when browning add garlic and ginger crushed, 1 large green chilli chopped. I slice about 4 or 5 garlic cloves and add at the start with the onions. Then when almost brown will add approx 1 in piece ginger crushed and cook for few minutes.
3. Once browned nicely add the tomatoes, chilli powder, salt, black pepper, haldi, cumin and coriander powder.
4. Once masala cooked add chicken and cook until tender. Add yoghurt and cook until mixed in. I like to reduce until quite thick sauce
5. Last 5 minutes add half sliced green and red pepper. Can also add quarter tomato and onion.
6. Add garam masala.
