Spring Greens with spices. Ingredients
250g shredded spring greens
1 onion sliced
1 Tomato chopped
2or3 Green chillies chopped
2tsp grated fresh ginger
1tsp Cumin seeds
1tsp Mustard seeds
half tsp Onion seeds
half tsp Turmeric
1tsp Garam masala
1tsp Chilli flakes
salt to taste
1tbsp oil
1tbsp ghee
Method.
1,Heat oil and ghee in pan and add cumin seeds, Mustard seeds, onion seeds, fry 30 seconds.
2, Add Onions and fry till soft ,then add ginger and green chillies, cook few mins then add Turmeric, salt,and chilli flakes, mix well.
3, Add Tomato cook till soft and oil separates, then add spring greens, a splash of water cover with lid and cook for about 10 mins till greens are cooked, then add garam masala and check seasoning.
